I agree that the Plugin Hybrid car is some time in the future.
But their are other Hybird systems that are in the pipeline and could be available for the markets in 9 to 12 months. When we at Kirbeed Pty Ltd receive sufficient funding our Hydraucar could be ready in 6 to 8 months from commencement.

Hybrids are the only way the world population can survive. We must have Hybrid cars, trucks, semies, bull dozers, graders and all other vehicles. We at Kirbeed Pty Ltd are confident we can do this.

Australia’s Kirbeed Outlines Plan for “Kirbeed Hydraucar” A Biodiesel and Electric Hybrid.

In Australia, Edgar Robert Charles Edgerton, chairman of Kirbeed Pty Ltd, updates the public on activities about the “The Kirbeed Hydraucar”. “We are now ready to invite others to join with us to produce what we call “The Kirbeed Hydraucar” this vehicle is a new type of Hybrid, something that is not a copy but a new idea of getting the best from a Hybrid. Yes it will be running on Biodiesel and Electricity it is expected that this vehicle using the Kirbeed Hydraucar System should have savings of up to 60% which equates to about 3lts/100 klms.” The company is in the process of accepting Investors.

The 4 cylinder diesels can get away with nitrous traps instead of the full blown urea injection such as the new Jetta. In these traps the NOx is reduced catalytically - no urea necessary. Because of this I suspect the upcoming E class with the twin turbo 4 will not require AdBlue (urea).

Customer would like to use hybrid car since it use gas .. it saves fuel. In addition, it has low rolling-resistance tires, a front air damn shaped to cut wind resistance, and a soft, removable bed cover over the back to reduce turbulence. If combined sales rise high enough to make the hybrid-drive setup more economical to manufacture, prices might fall. A lower purchase price could make Silverado Hybrid more attractive to more ordinary consumers.

Usually I'm only interested with a Honda when I see "Honda N" and the next two letters are "SX", but this actually sparked my curiosity. I think it's pretty cool,

We used to live in a city with trolleybuses and there were the same objections to how quiet they were. We have accidents now between trains, buses and people because they were listening to Ipods or whatever at the time of the accident, you will never please everyone. Noise is something we don,t Need !
A toss up here between going diesel and fuel efficiency. The Porsche engineers have struck a fin-line great balance I feel. Its what happens from here on in that counts, as always. Cannot fault the performance though, even with what would normally be deemed a setback by the speedsters. Wholly responsible cutting edge engineering.

Article is wrong - It's getting a 1.5 liter engine and will be good for 122hp

It's really disheartening to see Honda mess up great products in their fervor to keep up with Toyota in the Hybrid sweepstakes... Honda would have done right to do two things - introduce a hot-hatch CR-Z with the Si engine alongside the hybrid model.

Instead they're making nobody happy possibly blowing the opportunity altogether.

Hopefully it will drive better than it appears on paper.

Enjoy my 010 insight drivability and mpg,my only complaint is the buffeting noise with the windows up while driving at speeds between 50@60 mph, cannot determine if it is driveline or tire related,it sure is annoying.Wish you could get a set of fender skirts for this model.
