Joining a Sustainability and Hybrid team, you will enjoy important responsibilities for the advanced engineering and development of key CO2 reduction technology. Working on developments prior to handing over to the functional and program teams, you will make vital contributions to our investigation of two major platform technologies – full hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and stop start systems. Combining demonstrable awareness of HEVs with skills relevant to full hybrid and stop start, you have a broad range of experience from following areas: HEV development; hybrid powertrain, component, or system development; power electronics and electric machines; electric air conditioning systems; vehicle calibration development; vehicle simulation and integration; safety engineering and safety case development; control system, calibration, diagnostics design and development; software transition; electrical architecture, CAN network development, high voltage EDS; electrical feature requirements and their impact to vehicle attributes; batteries, battery management systems and ultra-capacitors for both full hybrid and stop start systems.

Educated to degree level in a relevant scientific discipline, you have a proven ability to proactively manage complex technical and business issues, balancing conflicting business needs in order to successfully meet project deadlines. You also have the excellent communication and relationship-building skills necessary to develop effective partnerships and report technical and business issues at all levels.
